If you’re planning a construction project, a room remodel, a roof removal, or just need to clean out the garage, you may need to rent a bin. El Monte residents and businesses may choose from a variety of rental bins, based on the size and type needed for a project.

Temporary bins must be rented from Valley Vista Services only. Rental of bins from clean up companies that are not permitted to operate in El Monte is a violation of the Municipal Code. Any bins that do not belong to Valley Vista Services will be removed. Both the renter and the bin owner will be subject to citation and fines per the provisions of the El Monte Municipal Code.

There are various bin sizes to choose from. Capacity varies from 3 to 40 cubic yards. First estimate the amount of debris/refuse you expect to generate from the improvement project, then select the bin size that suites your needs.

Please note, bins may not be placed in the public right-of-way unless an Encroachment Permit is first obtained from the City of El Monte. Go to Forms and Publications to download a Trash Dumpster/Public Property Encroachment Permit Application or contact 626-580-2058 to request a copy by mail.
