Environmental Services

The Environmental Services Division oversees all matters related to solid waste and recycling. This includes management of three waste hauler contracts as well as implementation of the City's recycling programs. Our mission is two fold:

  1. To ensure that quality, reliable refuse and recycling services are provided to residents and businesses
  2. To encourage environmental preservation and resource conservation throughout every sector of the El Monte community

Provided in this section is detailed information regarding available waste disposal services, recycling programs, bulky item disposal, dumpster rentals, proper management of hazardous wastes, smart gardening, and refuse rate discounts.
