Animal Owner Responsibilities

  • Licensing
    As pet owners, make sure to license your pets.
  • Altering/Neutering
    Help control the pet populations by spaying or neutering your pet. Pet owners with altered animals are eligible for a reduced license fee.
  • Microchipping
    Microchipping is required, and may help to locate lost pets.
  • Vaccinations
    Rabies or booster shots are required to help keep pets healthy.
  • Noise
    Be considerate of all neighbors; ensure that animals do not disturb others.
  • Proper Care and Confinement
    Pets should have sufficient food, water and shelter. Make every effort to prevent your animal from running at large.
  • Report Animal Cruelty/Neglect 
    Report any suspected animal cruelty, abuse or neglect; and take steps to prevent your animals from harming humans and other animals.
  • Leash
    When in public, dogs are to be on a leash not exceeding 6 feet in length.
