City of El Monte 2026 Small Business Grant Program
The 2026 El Monte Small Business Grant Program is currently accepting applications from eligible businesses. To qualify, businesses must have been in continuous operation for a minimum of six (6) months, be in good standing with the City, and submit all required documentation at the time of application.
Applications may be downloaded or obtained in person at the Housing Counter located in City Hall West during regular business hours. Only complete applications with all required documents will be accepted.
Grant funds are limited and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Businesses that have previously received funding through this program are not eligible to reapply. The City reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the program at any time without prior notice. Submission of an application does not constitute or guarantee approval or award of grant funds.
Ineligible Businesses:
Businesses that meet one of the following criteria are not eligible for participation in the program.
• Business that has previously received grant funding from the City
• Business that does not meet qualifications for LMA or LMJ National Objectives
• Businesses that fall into the following categories: gaming, liquor or tobacco stores, marijuana dispensaries
and manufacturing
• Business or activity that does not comply with local, state or federal laws
• Businesses with active code violations
• Home-based or online businesses
• Businesses outside of the City of El Monte city boundaries
• Businesses currently in the process of bankruptcy proceedings
